Two of the nicest people I know in the world are Jack and Emily. They have always been so welcoming to me n the UK and this is actually their second time to come and visit us in Japan. Two years ago when the club was just starting they came to stay for a weekend but unfortunately were not able to join training at our club. This time Jack made sure they would be here for at elast two training sessions.
Both Jack and Emily love Japan and I love to hear about the wonderful tours and trips they go on when they come here. They took a massive detour to travel to Hokkadio and as well as training we went for a spot of Canadian Canoeing on lake Shikaribetsu. We also went to Manabe Gardens, Ikeda Wine Castle and Ryugetsu Sweetpia Gardens to give them a taste of Tokachi and what wonderful tings we have here. We also went with Miho - one of my students to try Soup Curry. It was a bit of a wait but it was really worth it. Miho, Emily, Jack and I all share an interest in board games, so I hope next time they come out we can get together for some gaming.
I have trained with Jack for many years and he was always available to train together when I prepared for my shodan test. He also used to pick me up from work and drive me to the dojo. Emily just decided to give Leah sensei’s Women’s Aikido class a go recently and is doing really well.
Hopefully I will spend some more time with them on my next trip to the UK and when they come to Japan next we can train together again.
